Kilcar captain Ciaran McGinley believes that they are long overdue a county title.

The side last lifted the county title back in 1993 and many of the current scrop were not even born when that happened.

However, McGinley stressed to the Donegal Democrat that they were hoping to make the most of the occasion.

"It's been a long time coming and we're all delighted that the day is here and we are all looking forward to the game at the weekend," said McGinley.

"There has been great build up over the last week and it's great for the parish to be back in the final since 1993.

"I would say there is great confidence there. There is a belief that we can go on one step further this year. We have been knocking on the door but things probably didn't go our way for a number of years."
