You can't keep a good man down.

A few weeks ago, Michael Murphy's season looked to be over after he was carried off injured in a league game against St. Michael's. But he was back with a bang this afternoon, scoring 2-5 as Glenswilly defeated Sean MacCumhaills by 2-20 to 1-14 to become the first team to progress to the semi-finals of the Donegal SFC, which happens to be sponsored by the Donegal captain.

Putting their poor league form behind them, the 2011 and 2013 champions led by 0-12 to 1-5 at half-time. Murphy netted straight from the restart to extend their advantage before adding a second goal in the final minute after leaving the MacCumhaills defence in his wake.

Murphy's county colleague Neil Gallagher also scored on his return before being replaced in the 48th minute, while captain Gary McFadden helped himself to 0-6 for the rejuvenated Glenswilly men.
