St. Eunan's GAA Club Family Fun & Health Check Awareness Day

August 29, 2016

On Saturday St. Eunan's GAA Club held a Family Fun & Health Check Awareness Day in O'Donnell Park between 2pm and 6pm. There were great races, events, a bake sale, a burger bar, face painting, art centre and competitions such as Tossing the Sheaf, Poc Fada, Kick Fada and an Obstacle Course Team Relay Race. The event was organised by club Health & Well-being Officers Eugene Duffy and Alan O'Connell. There were a wide range of health checks available on the day including blood pressure, diabetes, Connect hearing, BMI and mental health service providers such as Pieta House, Jigsaw, Living Links, Donegal Youth Services and Slimming World. We would like to thank all those that sponsored prizes on the day and to Brian McCormick Sports who sponsored all the medals and trophies. Thank you also to all the volunteers that ensured the smooth running of the day and to the healthcare professionals who gave their time free of charge. A great day was had by all with the weather allowing everything to go ahead as planned.
