Gallagher: League form counts for nothing

August 26, 2016

St Michael's midfielder Ciaran Gallagher is adamant league form will count for nothing when they meet Kilcar in the SFC this weekend.

The Saints have had the better of the exchanges in their two league meetings with Kilcar so far this year.

However, Gallagher pointed out to the Donegal Democrat that they were achieved without either side's county players.

"We cannot read anything into those results; there were so many players missing from the two teams," said Gallagher.

"We were without Christy Toye, Martin McElhinney and Colm McFadden and they were without the McHughs, Ryan, Mark and Eoin and Patrick and Stephen McBrearty.

"It's a matter of going out and making sure that we put in a performance and see what happens on the day."
