Cratloe's hopes of regaining the Clare SFC title this year have received a major boost with the addition of Antoin McFadden to their ranks.

McFadden - a brother of Colm and a member of Donegal's extended 2012 All-Ireland winning panel - has transferred to the east Clare club from his native St. Michael's, according to the Limerick Leader. Former Limerick midfielder John Galvin also joined Cratloe last year.

A brother-in-a-law of former Donegal supremo Jim McGuinness, McFadden coached Newcastle West to their first Limerick SFC success since 1992 last year and is the current strength and conditioning coach with the Limerick footballers.

He was also a member of the Donegal team that lost the 2010 All-Ireland U21 final to Dublin.
