Croke Park to rule on Donegal club fixtures

More controversy in Galway

Donegal GAA have launched an appeal to the Central Appeals Committee in Croke Park against the Ulster Council's decision on club games in the county.

The Donegal Democrat revealed that county board PRO Ed Byrne had confirmed that they were awaiting a date for the appeal to be heard.

Three Donegal clubs, Glenfin, Gaoth Dobhair and St Michael's had appeals to the Ulster Council upheld.

The clubs had launched the appeals after the Donegal CCC had awarded points to their opponents after the three clubs failed to field in league fixtures the day after the Donegal v. Derry Ulster SFC semi-final.

It remains to be seen how this will affect the club league standings, but should Croke Park uphold the appeals, the games in question will more than likely be scheduled for another date.
