Frank McGlynn has said he will be back in a Donegal jersey again next season.

There has been speculation that some of the veterans in Rory Gallagher's squad could be ready to hang up their boots after the team's the All-Ireland SFC exit to Mayo last Saturday, but McGlynn, for one, says he is ready to soldier on again in 2016.

He told the Irish News: "We're going into the club championship now over the next few weeks and then we'll sit down together in October/November.

"Hopefully most of the lads will be back next year to go at it. I'll be back myself hopefully- that's the plan anyway."

The Glenfin defender has been a part of the Donegal set-up since 2006, earning an All Star award during the Tir Chonaill County's victorious 2012 campaign. He made his 100th appearance for his county during last year's Dr McKenna Cup campaign.
