Mid-summer's day will be for long a red-letter in the annals of the St.Eunan's club as both the U-14 Hurling team and the Camogie team won national honours at the Feile na nGael  Festivals of Hurling and Camogie hosted at Ulster venues this weekend.

Played in Garvaghy, Tyrone's Centre of Excellence ,the U-14 hurlers defeated Antrim's  St. Mc Nissi's in the Semi-Final of the Shield Competition on  a score of 3-3 to 1-1.Playing against a very strong wind the Eunan's lads stormed into a convincing first half lead with goals from Oisin Randles,Ronan Daly and Shane O'Donnell. In a great team performance they dominated all over the pitch to earn a fully deserved victory.

With an interval of over 2 hours to their Final, team managers Eunan O'Donnell and Gordon Randles marshalled their committed and skilful squad and had them prepped for the final where their opponents were Roscommon team St.Dominics.  By the thirteenth minute the Black and Amber had raced into a 1-2 to no score with Shane O'Donnell goaling and then scoring another from the penalty puck just before half time.  Eunan's lead 2-2 to no score registered for the Roscommon representatives. Throughout the second half  all over the field St.Eunan's players rose to the occasion and displayed a high level of skill, courage and determination.A heavy downpour did not detract both teams from giving their all and it was six minutes into the second half before St.Dominic's registered their first score.  With  both teams playing their hearts out the O'Donnell Park lads stood strong and finished with a flourish of hurling skills to be crowned Féile Shield  champions 2015 on a final score of 3-3 to 0-1.
