Derry's preparations for their upcoming Ulster SFC semi-final against Donegal have been rocked by the news that James Kielt has quit the panel.
BBC Sport Northern Ireland are reporting that the Kilrea attacker was not happy after his non-appearance in the 0-12 to 0-11 quarter-final victory over Down.
Kielt remained on the bench as Cailean O'Boyle and Terence O'Brien were introduced as substitutes at Celtic Park on June 7th.
A regular on the Oak Leaf panel since 2009, the experienced player's absence could prove costly as the championship progresses.
Derry will square up to Ulster champions Donegal at Clones on Saturday week with a place in the Anglo Celt Cup decider up for grabs.
