This weekend 19th to 21st June the U-14 Camoige team is travelling to Dungiven, Co. Derry to compete with such teams as Oran, (Roscommon), Na Magha, (Derry), Castlegar (Galway), Good Counsel, (Dublin), Drumsurn, (Derry), Ballerin(Derry) and Cratloe, (Clare). St Eunan's are hosting the Oran team over the weekend festival. Manager Joe Kealy is looking forward to competing against these teams and testing his team against inter-county opposition.
Meanwhile, the U-14 Hurling Boys Hurling team play host, in O'Donnell Park, Letterkenny to Mount Sion (Waterford), Buncrana and St Bridgids (Wexford). In fact, O Donnell Park has been selected to host the first stage of the finals on Saturday afternoon with more teams arriving: - Na Magha, (Derry), St Dominics, (Roscommon) and Bruff, (Limerick) before the semi finals and finals on Sunday in the Tyrone Centre of Excellence.
Hurling managers Eunan O'Donnell & Gordon Randles are eager to try out their 2015 Donegal U-14 League and Championship winning side against opposition from all over Ireland.
Detailed preparations within the club have ensured that for the first time all four field games promoted by the St.Eunan's GAA club will be represented at the Regional and National Feile Finals 2015. Over 100 U-14 club players representing Girls Football, Boys Football, Hurling and Camogie will don the Black and Amber to compete with the best in their age-group in the coming weeks.
The St.Eunan's Minor Board '4 for Feile' 2015 fundraising project has been met with a huge degree of enthusiasm from all the participants in the 4 squads ,their families, their management teams and from the club members. A successful fund-raising campaign has ensured the funding to support these committed team squads in their respective Feile events and journeys.
Club Minor Board chairman, Pauric Daly states, "We thank one and all for their individual and collective efforts in ensuring our participation in what should be a memorable Féile 2015 sporting festival and social experience for all involved. A commendable level of support from our sponsors, parents, players, team management, and the wider club community is clearly evident for this unique sporting event. Thank you ."
