Paddy McBrearty was both relieved and delighted after Donegal won the battle of Ballybofey.
Speaking to RTE after Donegal's 1-13 to 1-10 win over Tyrone, the corner forward from Kilcar smiled: "Ulster championship football - you can't beat it. Tyrone really put it up to us today. We're delighted to get through to the next round and Armagh in four weeks' time.
"The general public probably didn't give Tyrone the respect that they deserved. Within our circle we definitely respected Tyrone. If you look through their team they have a number of top-quality players that would make any inter-county team throughout the country.
"So, we gave them the full respect that they deserve. We knew the task ahead and are absolutely delighted to get through to the next round."
