Donegal defender Eamon McGee has revealed that he received hate mail after declaring his support for the Yes campaign in the forthcoming marriage equality referendum.
McGee, who will line out for Donegal in today's Ulster SFC preliminary round clash with Tyrone, told the Sunday Times that he continues to receive hate mail ahead of next Friday's referendum.
"There's been letters to the house with no names on them saying that I'm going to hell and leading the people of Ireland to hell, all this off-the-wall stuff," he said.
Obviously, you'd prefer it didn't happen but I feel I'm doing the right thing."
