There was no finger-pointing from Donegal manager Rory Gallagher after Michael Murphy saw red during yesterday's win over Cork.
The 2012 All-Ireland winning captain was sent off after picking up a second yellow card in the 50th minute on a day when Neil McGee and Anthony Thompson made their return to the Donegal colours.
"We will have to watch it back on TV," Gallagher said.
"Michael is a big guy and he works very hard and gets into a lot of contact and sometimes it looks a lot worse than it is. Michael has such quality that he is coming under pressure and maybe referees feel that he can look after himself."
Gallagher was delighted with the performance of wing forward Martin O'Reilly who kicked 0-4 in the one-point win.
"Marty is a busy wee player and he has been about the squad for a while. He has had one or two setbacks with injuries, but has knuckled down and got himself in good shape and is having a good run in the team," he added.
