Donegal hurlers are ready to take on the best in Division 2B, according to manager Ray Durack.
The Ulster side make the step up having won the Division 3A title last year and they begin their campaign against Mayo at the weekend.
Donegal have been here before, when in the late 90s the competed at this level, but found the going very tough.
Durack told the Donegal Democrat that they are more focused this time as they prepare to face Mayo.
"We are better prepared this time around," said Durack. "After we won the Division Four league, a lot of the older players retired so we were left with a very young and experienced team.
"The current squad have been together for a few years and we have won the Nicky Rackard and being honest we were disappointed that we did not go up the year before last."
