Concerns over Donegal fixture

Gaelic games and snow are not happy bedfellows

The heavy snow that has covered the North West since yesterday has put Donegal's clash against Derry in doubt.

The game is down for decision at MacCumhaill Park on Saturday night at 7pm, but heavy snow fall has put the game in doubt.

Donegal chairman Sean Dunnion explained to the Donegal Democrat that they were keeping a close eye on the situation and stated that ultimately, the decision would be left to Croke Park and whether the game should go ahead or not.

"We are monitoring it on a daily basis and liasing with the CCCC in Croke Park over the next day or so and that is all we can do," said Dunnion.

"We will keep Croke Park briefed on the situation and ultimately it will be their call."
