There looks set to be plenty of contests at this year's GAA convention.

As it stands, there will be contests for the positions of chairman, secretary, PRO, Development Officer, Irish Language Officer, Coaching Officer and Ulster Council delegate.

Outgoing chairman Sean Dunnion is to face stiff competition from Eddie Gallagher in order to retain his post.

The position of secretary will definitely see a new person in the role as Aodh Mairtin O'Fearraigh has completed his five-year term, while PRO Ed Byrne, Noreen Doherty, Nicola Ferry and Mary Kelly all look set to let their names go forward.
