Gallagher the best in Donegal

Neil Gallagher has been named 2014 Donegal Footballer of the Year.

The Glenswilly midfielder delivered a series of stunning displays for the Tir Chonail men during the summer as they reached the All-Ireland SFC final and was deservedly rewarded with a second All Star.

Meanwhile, Aodh Ruadh clubman Paul Sheridan has been selected as Donegal Hurler of the Year, having been instrumental in the county's rise to Division 2B.

Glenfin's Katie Herron is Ladies Footballer of the Year, while 1992 All-Ireland winning manager Brian McEniff will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award.

The recipients will be feted at at special GAA banquet in The Abbey Hotel, Donegal town, this Saturday.
