Outgoing Donegal GAA PRO Ed Byrne is the leading candidate to take over the secretary position from Aodh Martin O'Fearraigh.

There are a number of candidates nominated for the position, but Byrne is favourite to land the role, given his experience as the County Board PRO.

Former Secretary Noirin Doherty is also in the running for the position, which is set to attract a lot of attention at this year's convention.

O'Fearraigh is stepping down after five years in the role along with Development Officer Michael McMenamin who has completed the same term.
