Manager Laurence Strain admitted that Omagh St. Enda's lost their way after Joe McMahon was forced to retire injured in the 43rd minute of the Ulster club SFC semi-final win over St. Eunan's.

The Tyrone champions will be keeping their fingers crossed that the vastly-experienced county star can regain full fitness for the provincial final against Slaughtneil in a fortnight's time.

"It was a poor last 20 minutes from us," Strain told the Irish News.

"We didn't really cope well when we lost big Joe at midfield. We lost our shape, we didn't regroup properly but, again, we battled to the end.

"Credit to St. Eunan's, they were brilliant in the last 20 minutes. They ran and they ran and they ran - and that's their eighth week in-a-row."

Cork City striker Cillian Morrison missed a late chance to force extra-time for St. Eunan's, but his manager 'Maxi' Curran refused to blame him for the loss.

"Cillian Morrison gave an exhibition out there for a man playing his first full game of Gaelic football in four years," Curran said.

"He carried the fight to them on his own for a large part of the first half.

"Football at this level is a serious business and we just made too many unforced errors."
