Naomh Conaill beat Ardara by 0-9 to 1-5 in tonight's Donegal SFC quarter-final replay to set up a last four meeting with holders Glenswilly.
Played at MacCumhaill Park, Ballybofey, a strong first half showing from the winners earned them a comfortable 0-7 to 0-2 lead at the break. Daragh Gallagher (3), Brendan McDyre (2), Dermot Molloy and Aaron Thompson all found the target for the Glenties side, while Ardara's scores came from Brendan McNelis and Tomas Boyle frees in the opening 15 minutes.
With the wind in their backs in the second half, Ardara reduced the deficit to three approaching the third quarter - 0-8 to 0-5 - thanks to points from Gareth Concarr, CJ Molloy and Ryan Melly.
The next score would be seen as crucial heading into the final stages and it went Naomh Conaill's way as Marty Boyle fired over.
A late Ardara goal from Martin Shovlin set up for a grandstand finish but try as they did they could not find the equaliser.
