Kilcar have crashed out of the Donegal SFC before the knockout stages, despite hammering Brian McEniff's Bundoran by 5-15 to 0-3 today.
The pre-championship favourites, who are managed by Jim McGuinness' former number two Rory Gallagher, finished behind St. Michael's and champions Glenswilly on scoring difference, and thus failed to progress from Group 4.
In a dour struggle, Glenswilly ground out a 1-4 to 1-2 win over St. Michael's, with Neil Gallagher's goal with 12 minutes remaining turning the game in their favour.
Naomh Conaill finished top of Group 1 after beating St. Eunan's 0-9 to 0-7 yesterday. However, the Letterkenny men were already assured of their place in the quarter-finals and rested several key players. In the other Group 1 game, Malin eased to a 6-10 to 1-9 victory over Naomh Muire.
Four Masters topped Group 2 thanks to a 2-13 to 0-7 win over Glenfin, with Karl Lacey getting one of their goals. Ardara also advanced after drawing 2-7 to 0-13 with Sean MacCumhaill's.
In next weekend's quarter-finals, Glenswilly will face Termon, Ardara will meet local rivals Naomh Conaill, Four Masters square up to St. Eunan's and St. Michael's have been paired with Dungloe.
