"It is massively beyond my wildest dreams"

Odhrán Mac Niallais celebrates scoring Donegal's first goal against Monaghan.

Donegal midfielder Odhran MacNiallais is having a pretty unbelievable year!

The 22-year-old has developed into a key cog in the side that will lock horns with Kerry in Sunday's All-Ireland SFC final and he admits that sometimes he feels like pinching himself to see is it all real:

"It is massively beyond my wildest dreams," the Ghaoth Dobhair clubman states in The Irish News. "If you'd told me this time last year that I'd be this involved with the Donegal team, winning the Ulster championship and now ready to play in an All-Ireland final after beating Dublin in the semi-final, I wouldn't believe it.

"But it has been an unbelievable year for us younger players - the likes of me, Ryan McHugh and Darach O'Connor. It has been great and we are very thankful to Jim [McGuinness] for giving us the opportunity and we just look forward now to an All-Ireland final.

"I'm so thankful to Jim for giving me this opportunity. From the start of the year, he's told me that he has the belief in me to play at the highest level.

"I didn't really have the belief in me, to be honest, but Jim would put belief in any man to do anything or believe in anything. He is an amazing man. His systems and gameplans, he is just unbelievable."
