Ticket allocation disappoints Donegal

September 12, 2014

Donegal supporters celebrate.

Donegal chairman Sean Dunnion has admitted that the county are disappointed with their 16,088 ticket allocation for Sunday week's All-Ireland SFC final.

The Ulster county are represented in both the minor and senior All-Ireland and they felt that they would receive an awful lot more than the 14,715 allocated to them for the 2012 decider.

However, that has not been the case and Dunnion relayed the bad news to delegates at a county board meeting earlier in the week.

"It is a disappointing allocation and there is no other way to describe it," the Donegal Democrat reports Dunnion as saying.

"Given that we are in both finals and that only two counties are competing on the day, we were expecting the allocation to be much greater.

"All the talk in the press and media of in the region of 20,000 tickets is well wide of the mark. We have been on to Croke Park and have made representations but we have been told that is it. We've also been told that we won't be getting a second allocation either."
