Donegal minor manager Declan Bonner believes there is more to be done to put the right structures in place at underage level in the county.

Bonner has guided his native county to their first All-Ireland minor final where they will face Kerry on Sunday afternoon.

Since taking this group over three years ago, they have remained unbeaten so far and many feel that the underage set up in the county is in fine order.

However, the 1992 All-Ireland winner doesn't agree and he told the Donegal Democrat that more needs to be done to safe guard the future of underage football in the county.

"I'm still not entirely convinced we have the right structures at all levels, but I think we're getting there and there's a lot of good work going on," said Bonner.

"It's in a good place at the minute and you have to keep building on it. Okay we're in two All-Ireland finals in a few weeks, but the work has to be gone on at under-14 and 18 level.

"We know it doesn't come easy and we've put in a lot of work in three years, have a big backroom team helping out in every aspect."
