Online ticket sales for the Ulster SFC quarter-final between Derry and Donegal have sold out in record time, over a month in advance of the game.

A considerable allocation of tickets were made available to purchase online at tickets.ie and in participating Centra/SuperValu stores, and these were sold out in a number of days.

While the online sales for the Derry v Donegal game were exhausted very quickly, Ulster GAA wants to remind supporters that the vast majority of tickets for this game will be reserved for club members in both counties and will be dispersed through their County Board offices.

Commenting on the early sales, Ulster GAA President Martin McAviney said: "Following feedback from our supporters, we have frozen ticket prices and increased access to tickets while still ensuring that Club members have access to the best available tickets to our games.

"It is fantastic to see such anticipation for the return of the Ulster Championship, which is without doubt the highlight of the sporting summer in the Province.

"As expected, it is evident that demand in many cases will exceed supply so we would urge patrons to purchase their tickets well in advance of match day throw-in to avoid disappointment."
