McGuinness going for the win

Jim McGuinness says Donegal will be going all out to win their final divisional game against relegation-threatened Armagh on Sunday.

The Tir Chonaill men need at least a draw to seal a quick return to Division 1, but the All-Ireland winning manager insists they will be travelling to the Athletic Grounds with the intention of winning.

"The bottom line as I see it, we have to go out and win the game and, if not, at least draw to make sure that we are promoted. Any other result and we are relying on other results to go right for us elsewhere," he is quoted in the Donegal Democrat.

"So from our point of view and the way we are approaching the game is to go out and win and leave no doubt about. And I guess that is the way Paul Grimley and Armagh will be approaching it too.

"All of which should lead to a fairly competitive encounter with a lot at stake and is ideal really for both counties in the build up to the championship. It is the ideal type of game as we look forward to the championship," added McGuinness.

Donegal will depart for Portugal next Thursday for a week-long training camp in advance of the championship.
