Despite claims that an allocation of 5,750 tickets would not satisfy demand in Tyrone for Sunday's Ulster SFC showdown against Donegal in Ballybofey - the Red Hand County has returned 1,000 unsold tickets.
The returned tickets will be redistributed to Donegal clubs and will help swell the home team's support.
Tyrone is on record as expressing disappointment that many of their supporters will miss out on the game due to the choice of Ballybofey as venue but PRO Eunan Lindsay explained to the Donegal News: "I know from my own club, people are reluctant to take children to a sold-out game on terrace tickets when the place will be full to capacity.
"Roughly 25 per cent to a third of the attendance would usually be children and it seems that there are families now who aren't really pushed about going."
The returned tickets are all terrace tickets.
