Jonny Cooper has confirmed he will be available for Dublin’s Allianz Football League fourth round clash against Donegal next Saturday week.

The 30-year-old defender has yet to feature for the Dubs in 2020, along with fellow stars Stephen Cluxton, Jack McCaffrey and Diarmuid Connolly, but could see his first bit of game time under Dessie Farrell when the capital men welcome the Ulster champions to HQ.

“The hand is up, so there's thirty-something lads available - or certainly training. So yeah, I'm in the mix and trying to see if he'll involve me in some way,” the Na Fianna man is quoted saying by the Irish Daily Mirror.

“I've just been slow enough coming back but it was always the plan to kind of take my time and get a few things (in order). I'm studying at the moment as well, so I'm trying to get balance, I guess, but also fitness-wise.

"Just hopefully the next block of games I'll be able to be involved in some capacity and go from there.”
