Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta 2020

Beidh Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta a reáchtáil i bhFánaid ag tús mí na Bealtaine 2020. Dúshlán mór dúinn mar chlub a bheas ann, agus beidh neart cuidiú de dhíth chun comórtas den scoth a chur le chéile. Deis iontach atá ann don cheantar.

Meallfaidh an comórtas sluaite móra chuig an cheantar chomh maith le hocht bhfoireann déag eile. Tabharfaidh sé seans dúinn tús áite a thabhairt don Ghaeilge, agus don chultúr Gaelach chomh maith.

Beidh cruinniú poiblí ar siúl ar 30 mí na Samhna, i Halla Fán a Bhualtaigh ag 8p.m. chun tús a chur leis na hullmhúcháin. Ba mhaith linn bhur n-ionchur, bhur dtuairimí agus bhur smaointe. Beidh fáilte roimh achan nduine, cibé cumas Gaeilge atá acu. Bígí linn.

The Donegal finals of Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta will take place in Fanad in 2020. It promises to be a great occasion, with 18 teams coming to play.

We require your help in preparing for the competition, and are having a public meeting on November 30th @ 8pm in Fanavolty Hall.

Bord na nÓg Presentation Night

A huge thank you to all who attended our annual Underage Presentation evening on Sunday 24th November. It was a lovely evening and it gives everyone a chance to recognise the efforts put in by so many people in making our club the success that it is. We have just over 300 registered members at Bord na nÓg level, and between them all they attended over 1,000 training sessions this year. Thank you to the coaches who put in so much time and commitment over the year, thanks to our children who attended the training sessions with such enthusiasm, and thank you to the parents who take them to training & cheer them on so passionately.

The various team award winners received beautiful hand crafted plaques crafted by Martin Clinton of Carraig na Rón and all the awards were handed out by our former County Player and All Ireland winner, Eamonn McGee. Eamonn very kindly had some words of wisdom to share with our young players.

It is evenings like this when all the families come together to celebrate the efforts and achievements of our young people that make the commitment to the training, club and games worthwhile. Gaeil Fhánada always welcome new members and if anyone is interested in joining in the fun next year, watch out for news of our registration dates, training etc.

Go raibh míle maith agaibh uilig!

We would also like to thank the management team for all the work they have done throughout the season. Go raibh míle maith agaibh uilig.
