Letterkenny Gaels club notes

Congratulations to our Drama Group who were crowned County Champions after their County Final victory at Scór Sinsear in Glenfin on Friday night past. The short drama they presented, 'Packie McNamee' was written originally by Fergus Cleary and adapted by Brian Sweeney. The delivery, humour, props and characterisation come together to create ten minutes of great craic! The cast included; Celine Bradley, Shelia Sweeney, Brian Sweeney, Paul Brady and Garry Coll.

The Gaels will now take part in the Ulster semi final in Banbridge on 10th March.

 

Our Membership Registration afternoon will take place this Sunday 17th at the Clubroom from 2-4pm. Please make effort to attend as all members must update their personal details in accordance with the GDPR guidelines.

 

We hosted another ‘Ceol agus Craic’ session in the Silver Tassie last Sunday. The next one is on Sunday 10th March. All welcome. 

 

The club are running a 6 week Intensive Irish Language revision course in the LYIT starting on 27th February. The cost of the course is €70. To book or for more information please contact (089) 421 8215

 

Underage ladies training continues every Friday night from 7-8pm at the Aura. All players who played underage last year welcome. €3 per session. New players very welcome too.

 

Indoor Camogie training continues every Friday at the LYIT from 6.15-7.30pm for U-8, U-10 & U-12. New members are always welcome.

 

Underage hurling training for U-6, U-8, U-10 and U-12 continues at the Aura every Thursday evening from 6.30-7.30pm. All welcome. Hurls and helmets can be borrowed.

The Hurling Presentation night will take place on 9th March at 4pm.

 

Under 6, 8 and 10 Underage football indoor training will resume this Friday 15th February. Under 6 training takes place each Friday at 6pm in the Woodland NS gym. Under 8 and Under 10 training will take place in the Aura Leisure Centre from 10am to 11am on a Sunday morning (starting Sun 17th Feb). U12s, U14s and U16s train on different nights during the week. Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure in Letterkenny are currently stocking Club gear which includes replica jerseys, training tops, jackets, bobble hats, scarfs etc.

 

Bingo continues every Monday in the Arena 7. The Jackpot stands at €8700. 

Doors from 8pm. Eyes down 9pm. All welcome.
