Aodh Ruadh club notes

December 04, 2018

Football

Senior manager James O'Donnell told the club executive on  Thursday that he and his management team are standing down and will not be seeking reappointment. James and his back room team had great success over his term as manager. He steered the club from Division 2 to Division 1 after ten years out of the top flight. He also took us to this year's intermediate county final for the first time since 2012. Senior football has improved greatly under his watch. We wish James and all the members of the back room team all the best into the future. We are now inviting expressions of interest in the post of senior manager to be emailed to [email protected]. The past year showed we didn't look out of place in Division 1. We have an exciting young team and there are great hopes for the 2019 season, so it's a great opportunity for an ambitious manager.

Well done to Gaoth Dobhair on bringing back the Donegal's first Ulster club senior football championship title since Saint Joseph's triumph in 1975.
