Special Night of Entertainment organised for Croke Park

February 02, 2013
A special programme of entertainment has been organised this evening at Croke Park to mark the start of the Allianz Football Leagues.

Kildare play Donegal at 5.0 and this game is followed by the meeting of Dublin and defending league champions Cork at 7.0.

A specially commissioned video will be shown on Croke Park's big screen to mark 100 years of the GAA's ownership of the stadium and this will be accompanied by fireworks and the unfurling of a celebratory banner, to mark the occasion.

Two former greats will share their memories of Croke Park with stadium MC for the night, Daithí Ó Sé.

Before the start of the second game a special tribute will be played for former Dublin player and manager Kevin Heffernan.

A moment's silence will also be observed before the meeting of Dublin and Cork in memory of both Kevin Heffernan and Detective Garda and active GAA member Adrian Donohoe.

Republic of Loose will play at half time in the second game.
