Hotels in Derry

(Oldest Posts First)

Planning to head up to Derry for the Louth game in March. Any suggestions on hotels within a reasonable distance of the ground? Will probably bring the whole crew so preferably something with a pool to keep the young lads happy for an hour or two.

Tower Hotel Butcher St, Derry is good spot not far from the ground plus plenty of good pubs and eateries in the area.

A few suggetsions on that. I know for sure the city hotel has a pool. The City hotel or tower hotel are usually your best bet.

If current forms anything to go by I'd say youre feeling confident?

Good stuff lads, thanks for the advice. Is the Tower within walking distance to Celtic Park, nice not to have the hassle of trying to find parking!

As to travelling with confidence, it's not a feeling that sits too easy with Louth Fans!

We saw off Westmeath in a poor match and gave a much-improved performance against Galway over in Salthill on Sunday to earn a point that not too many expected. In fairness, Westmeath are a very poor side (as shown by Meath's haul against them) while Galway are a young team so the next few games will tell more of a story as to where we are. We do have a couple of players to come back into the side so it'll give them a chance to get up to speed. If I was a betting man, my money would definitely be on Derry despite the recent results!

It seems ridiculous that there's now a three-week break so any momentum could well be lost. Conversely, this will probably suit yourselves grand and allow ye to regroup.

Paul, You can walk fro the Tower Hotel to Celtic Park in less than 10 minutes with the City Hotel only a further 5 minute walk. Both are handy for Celtic Park. There are deals for 2 nights online in both hotels B&B for £55pp sharing. So you should get a good deal.
