Women who play sport are two times more likely to feel supported #SeriousSupport

A new study commissioned by Lidl Ireland demonstrates the positive effect playing sport has on the health and well-being of young women and girls in Ireland.

The research has proven that team sports have a direct and positive effect on loneliness and feeling supported.

Girls that play sport report feeling less depressed, less lonely, happier and more supported. 0% of girls that play sport report feeling lonely daily while 10% of those that don't play sport do report feeling lonely daily.
