Derry have confirmed the appointment of John McEvoy as their new senior hurling manager.

A former senior coach and U21 manager with Dublin, the Laois native replaces Collie McGurk in the role.

Dublin's John McGuirk and Brian Delargy of Antrim will act as his selectors.

McEvoy will be hoping to lead the Oak Leafers to Allianz League Division 2B and Christy Ring Cup success in 2019.
