County and provincial champions Slaughtneil were given a huge scare by Dungiven before setting up another Derry SHC final showdown with Banagher yesterday.

Cormac O'Doherty scored 0-10 and Se McGuigan posted 1-1 for the Emmet's who led for most of the way in Ballinascreen, but they were left hanging on for a 1-14 to 1-13 win after Richie Mullan - who hit 1-8 for Kevin Lynch's - scored an injury-time goal from a 20-metre free and then missed a long-range free to draw it.

Despite having Jack Phelan and Oisin McCloskey sent off just after half-time, Banagher overcame Lavey by 3-16 to 2-14 in the other semi-final in Celtic Park on Saturday thanks to first half goals from McCloskey, Darragh Cartin and Jonny O'Dwyer.

The final will be played on September 30.
