Replying To Analyst:  "It's not exactly a state secret. It was posted here early yesterday that there were 4 additions to squad and I would think that there will be lads dropping out to make way for these. Hardly front page news as it would be the norm to have a few U 21 players on senior squad"
agree but do you know the 4 lads brought in?

It has already been said here and as far back as 2 weeks ago 2 or 3 of us put up that the lads who should be called in were Clarke, Conlon, Jones and O Reilly and they were

But we have a "proven winner" as manager who maybe doesn't prepare his team to play a team that hadn't won in 2 years!"
Can I have salt and vinegar with that chip there lad

How did you figure it out!
I just think the fawning over the new manager is typical of the group think on here. Micko, who I don't know, was terrible according to the scribes, despite doing everything to unearth any good player from any corner of the county. Now, suddenly, we have a new manager and it's all the players fault the manager is blameless.

It's the same group think that got Eamonn O'Brien fired despite his excellent record. The same crew as now were saying Banty was the savior….until he wasn't. I personally think the new manager has a lot to prove (terrible treatment of Joe, hammered by Louth and Kildare in Navan, caveman tactics against Down) I hope I'm wrong and he'll learn. Time will tell, but I fear we have Banty mark 2.

I am not going to rehearse what everyone knows my views on odowd were. We now have a quality management who can get the best out of players, look at lenehane biggy forde menton O'Sullivan.

Sticking one of the best forwards Meath have produced in the last decade in goal and deriding his shot stopping ability to the media after a game.

I don't understand that one either. Brought him back in? Didn't throw him aside?

Pauk123 Confusing post .......How was Joe treated terribly ? I saw plenty of QUESTIONS this year about management issues. . I think most people accept it is far too early to draw any CONCLUSIONS about Andy as manager. Personally i would thank him for taking the job. I do agree Eamonn o Brien appears to have got a raw deal from what we know

No idea why Joe bothers to be honest ! He wont play 1 minute of football this year! A strange decision from both sides

Joe hasn't been treated badly at all! He's delighted in fact to be back! He loves playing for Meath! And that's straight from the horses mouth !!

Complete and utter nonsense, nobody forced Joe to come back into the panel and I think he knows himself his time playing outfield for Meath were over a good while ago.

Joe will always answer the call, I'm positive he's delighted to be back in the fold but when your manager says "The shot saving you would maybe worry about" when you are a goalkeeper it doesn't bode well. I'm sorry I'm not part of the consensus that everything is rosey in the garden. We'll see how far we get this year with "promotion is realistic" let's see.

Well if Joe never plays in goals for his club and doesn't play in goals in any other sport as far as I am aware and the last time he did play in goals was about 15 years ago wouldn't you be a bit worried about his shot stopping? And apart from one or two posters most people on this forum are saying we won't get promoted because we are too inconsistent.

If your a fan of Joe I'd say your a fan of Cian Ward and he has said this week he thinks we will get promoted so stop with all the negativity.
