Donegal boss Declan Bonner has recalled three players into his squad for the upcoming Dr McKenna Cup campaign.

Cian Mulligan, Conor Morrison and Tony McClenaghan have all returned the set-up as the Tir Chonaill men prepare to open their new campaign against Monaghan in Ballybofey on January 4th.

Morrison and McClenaghan were both sidelined by injury this past season, while Mulligan had been concentrating on his college studies, and Bonner hopes that the trio can help fill the void left by college players in his squad which will be on Sigerson Cup duty next month.

“Yes, it is good to have the three lads back and especially as we will be losing up to about 10 players to the Sigerson Cup competition,” he told The Irish News.

“Their colleges will have first call on them, but that is a situation that other counties also experience.”
