An online ticket tout stood to pocket €3,500 from the sale of two All-Ireland football final tickets.

Tickets for Dublin versus Tyrone have not been released by the GAA yet but today's Herald reports that an individual, who claimed to have a season pass, put tickets up for sale on eBay.

The auction, which had seen a massive jump in price from €500 to €3,500, has since been removed by the site.

The GAA warned this week that any All-Ireland hurling and football final tickets being sold in excess of face value on touting websites will be automatically cancelled.

"The Association routinely monitors ticket touting websites and where possible, endeavours to establish the original source of the tickets, taking action where necessary," Croke Park chiefs said in a statement.
