Rebels set to be without Connolly

Cork forward Luke Connolly is set to miss the Leesiders’ crucial Division 2 clash with Armagh at the Athletic Grounds on Sunday (throw-in 2pm).

The Irish Examiner reports today that the Nemo Rangers ace is understood to be “a major doubt” for the trip to the Orchard County after limping off in last weekend’s defeat to Donegal at Pairc Ui Rinn.

Connolly’s absence would be a massive blow to Rebels boss Ronan McCarthy as his side are in a must-win situation against Kieran McGeeney’s men in order to avoid relegation down to Division 3.
