Donegal SHC match abandoned as goalkeeper suffers serious injury

Burt goalkeeper Paul Burns suffered a serious leg injury in the early stages.

Burt's Donegal SHC match against St Eunan's on Friday evening was abandoned after six minutes due to a serious leg injury to goalkeeper Paul Burns.

Donegal netminder Burns was treated on the pitch for 40 minutes and the decision was taken to call a halt to proceedings at Hibernian Park. Burt were leading 0-1 to 0-0 when the incident happened.

Burt GAA have wished their clubman a speedy recovery.

Unfortunately this evenings championship game was abandoned after a serious leg injury to Paul Burns. On behalf of his teammates and fellow club players we wish him a speedy recovery.
