Westmeath duo set for busy weekend

February 23, 2018

Westmeath's Killian Doyle with Damien Healy Meath during the NHL Division 2A game at Lomans Park Trim.

Westmeath duo Conor Shaw and Killian Doyle are set for what can only be described as a crazy weekend.

The pair are part of the DCU side that will take on UL in the Fitzgibbon Cup final tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon. The game will take place in Mallow.

This means the players will have to make the long journey to Cork, then when the game is over, they are heading to Cork Airport for a flight to London.

Here, they will link up with the rest of the Westmeath squad for their clash against the Exiles on Sunday afternoon. Following the game, they will fly back to Dublin to end what can only be described as a busy schedule.

Both players started for Westmeath against Meath last weekend, while Doyle is centre forward on the DCU team, with Shaw on the bench.
