Killererin proud of man who 'put parish on the map'

Killererin GAA club has expressed its pride in Padraic Joyce who is set to become Galway's new senior football manager.
The two-time All-Ireland winning forward's name will be put forward for ratification at the next county board meeting and the news has been greeted by Joyce's club who said on Facebook: "Killererin are very proud to call him our own, we were never found wanting if the man we affectionatley called 'Pau' was able to put a foot under him at all.
"His 100% commitment to his club and county will always be remembered with pride here in Killererin. As a player with Killererin and Galway, he brought the club and parish many memorable days down through the years and put the parish on the map!
"Best of luck Padraic!"
