The Electric Ireland Ulster GAA Minor Football Championship was officially launched on Monday night at the Tyrone GAA Centre of Excellence at Garvaghey. Players and mentors from the competing Ulster counties were present as well as a large media presence from across the province.

Officially launching of the championship, Ulster GAA President Oliver Galligan said:

"It gives me great pleasure to launch the Electric Ireland Ulster Minor Football Championship 2019. Over the years, this grade of championship has been an excellent platform to display the young talent in our Province – and to showcase the senior Ulster GAA stars of tomorrow. The next few weeks will be extremely busy around the province – with teams highly confident that they can claim the Ulster title from last year’s winners, Muineachán. I would like to acknowledge the continued support of our title sponsors Electric Ireland, now in their 8th year of sponsorship of the Championship''

The Electric Ireland Ulster GAA Minor Football Championship will begin on this Saturday when holders Muineachán welcome An Dún to Clones. Throw-in at St Tiernach's Park is 5pm.
