@nopopehere

No pal, why would I or anyone else for that matter let something posted on an anonymous internet message board get under their skin? For someone to get under your skin you have to at least rate their opinion, which most certainly isn't the case here

nopopehere makes a change not to see mitchels with NT to their fixture...last weekend must of been the first time in 7 years they fielded on a bank holiday...i suppose its no suprise with over 60 men training coming from every county in ireland... are mitchels unbeatable??? the jurys still out?

No team is unbeatable but I think at the minute they have to be firm favourites for the double,no? What way do you beat them,no team at the minute is going to out football them but ye deploy them auld tactics our northern friends are renowned for and it would be a start, have your team fitter but at this stage of the season it's probably too late, teams may be better equipped next year but we'll see,Casements could go out on the 1st and turn them over and all this talk would be for nothing but then that's just my poorly formed opinion.

Well done to John Mitchels on winning the league, they have assembled a fine side with plenty of strength in depth.

Big game for Mary's on Tuesday night, would be disappointing for them to be relegated due to the fact that Sons Of Erin didn't field at home yesterday

Well a good game at the Pairc yesterday, thought Macs had made a great comeback second half to get back into it but left it too late. Good to see the invincible Mitchells may not be that invicible after all and should be a good final if as expected both teams reach the final of the champ.

Good win for Barnabus as well in Covnetry, i know Casements have lost a few players recently but still a convincing win for Barnabus, could they cause a suprise in the semi against Macs?

As for the bottom of the table, well it is a big game for Marys Tuesday but seems a tad unfair that they have put the effort in to field when Leicester haven't on more than one occasion to find themselves at the bottom. Especially as Leicesters 4 points have been 2 walk overs i believe, dont think it will matter too much anyway as both teams have struggled and if league structure stays the same can see both teams at Inter next year. Who comes up from Inter, is it the league or champ winners?

its not rubbish milbrook though and you know it...you have assembled a fine team but its not hard work on the training pitch it was re recruitment of good players from home...anywho as one of the posters has already pointed out your no invincibles champ is different ball game an macs will show that

Magic Johnson,

Am i right in saying you are a Barnabas man?

If so could you remind me what Barnabas were doing before their influx on Irish lads?

How many English born lads would be on your starting 15 Championship?

Will James/ Seamus O'Hara be starting this year or will he be dropped for one of the Irish lads you've put in so much hard work with to get upto Championship standard?

Regards,

Winker ;-)

Winker that makes no sense!

It must be worrying for Mitchel's that they didn't beat macs by more. In both games Macs have fought back courageously to only lose by a small margin. Id expect Macs to recruit a player or 2 for the championship.

Was the ex Marys lad playing for Macs yesterday?

Magic Johnson,

Not really, i just couldn't believe out of all the clubs in Warwickshire it was a Barnabas man coming out with a statement like that.

As for you tipping macs to turn us over......you do realise if everything goes to form they play you in the Semi final first? Are you raising the white flag already or is this a bit of mind games to try and catch macs by suprise?

Regards,

Winker ;-)

First time poster here but wanted to clarify a few things regarding yesterday's no show from sons of Erin. We tried to get a team together but were always looking at trying to get a scratch 13 out. Unfortunately a couple of lads had to pull out last minute for genuine reasons and that was that. However Leicester knew this would more than likely be the case as they were told over 2 months ago that for various reasons we would struggle to field yesterday. Our manager asked to rearrange the fixture to a midweek game in July on a date of their choice- they said no! We even offered to play our home game at theirs instead and still they wouldn't budge! I feel for St Marys as they've actually beaten ourselves and Leicester and that's why we did everything to get a team out yesterday but if the lads aren't about they aren't about!

Has anybody heard anything about the 'Homegrown Championship'? Great idea IMO, can see the 'Big 3' being unable to field.

I presume you mean the Big 3 won't field in the 'homegrown' as they have games scheduled in Derby on a Thursday evening? just off tha top of my head i can think of 15+ English born McDermott lads and at least 10 Mitchells that i know.
