McMahon and McIver on 'Ricey' ticket

August 16, 2019

Paul McIver and Joe McMahon.

Ryan McMenamin has put together a high-calibre backroom team in his quest to become the next Fermanagh football manager.

The outgoing selector will, according to the Irish News, have his former Tyrone All-Ireland winning team-mate Joe McMahon and ex-Kilcoo manager Paul McIver as part of his management if, as expected, he is appointed as Rory Gallagher's successor next week.

McMahon, who was involved with Clogher this season, won All-Ireland medals in 2005 and '08 before injury forced him to bring the curtain down on his 13-year inter-county career in 2017. A former Derry U21, McIver is best known for leading Kilcoo to a three-in-a-row of Down SFC titles.
