Limerick and Kilkenny both advanced to the last four of the Allianz hurling league while Cork, Laois and Mayo also had cause to celebrate over the last couple of days...

1. Anthony Nash (Cork)

Nash and the Rebel County live to fight another day in Division 1A following their relegation play-off victory over Waterford.

2. Joey Holden (Kilkenny)

Holden and the Cats were made to sweat by Offaly before securing their safe passage to the last four of the league.

3. Leigh Bergin (Laois)

Bergin and the O'Moore County preserved their Division 1B status courtesy of a hard-earned 1-16 to 0-17 win over Antrim.

4. Ben Conneely (Offaly)

There have been encouraging signs during the league to suggest that the Faithful County are making progress under Kevin Martin.

5. Diarmuid Byrnes (Limerick)

Scored a crucial goal from a free to keep Limerick in the hunt against Clare and the Treaty County were the ones left standing after an epic encounter.

6. David McInerney (Clare)

The Banner County's centre-back can consider himself somewhat unlucky to have finished up on the losing side.

7. Cathal Freeman (Mayo)

Along with Kenny Feeney and dual star Keith Higgins, captain Freeman played a prominent role in Mayo's Division 2A final win over Down.

8. Darragh Fitzgibbon (Cork)

Cork manager John Meyler highlighted the massive contribution of his midfield pairing following their five point win over the Deise.

9. Bill Cooper (Cork)

Cooper chipped in with four points for the Rebels while Fitzgibbon raised three white flags at Pairc Ui Rinn.

10. Conor Mahon (Offaly)

Mahon helped himself to 1-2 against Kilkenny but the Faithful County just came up short.

11. TJ Reid (Kilkenny)

With their backs very much against the wall, Reid produced the goods for the Cats when it mattered most. 

12. Tony Kelly (Clare)

The former 'Hurler of the Year' sent over six points in the Gaelic Grounds thriller.

13. Aaron Gillane (Limerick)

Last year's U-21 'Hurler of the Year' found the back of the Clare net twice and was on target with 11 placed balls. 

14. Peter Duggan (Clare)

The Clooney-Quin clubman amassed an incredible 0-19 (15 frees and 2 65s) but still ended up on the losing side!

15. Walter Walsh (Kilkenny)

Along with Reid, Walsh put his shoulder to the wheel to see Kilkenny over the line in Tullamore.
