High fliers Dublin and Galway both have three representatives on our team of the week…
1. Raymond Galligan (Cavan)
The Cavan netminder pulled off a couple of fine saves against Down on Saturday evening and also converted a '45' for good measure.
2. Jonny Cooper (Dublin)
The Na Fianna clubman superbly marshalled the Dublin defence as Kerry were on the receiving end of a harsh lesson from the All-Ireland champions.
3. Sean Andy O Ceallaigh (Galway)
O Ceallaigh put in another impressive shift as the Tribesmen continued their winning ways.
4. Eoghan Kerin (Galway)
Kerin and his Galway team-mates now turn their attention to a top-of-the-table clash with Dublin which is fixed for Pearse Stadium next Sunday.
5. Bill Maher (Tipperary)
The attack-minded half-back notched 1-1 in the Premier County's convincing 2-17 to 0-9 victory over Louth.
6. Colm Begley (Laois)
Begley and the O'Moore County remain on course for an instant return to Division 3 after surviving a scare against London.
7. Stephen Coen (Mayo)
UCD's Sigerson Cup winning captain caught the eye as Stephen Rochford's men secured a vital win away to Kildare.
8. Kieran Hughes (Monaghan)
No finger of blame for the Farney County's defeat can be pointed in the direction of Hughes who scored 1-3 against Galway.
9. Michael Darragh Macauley (Dublin)
The experienced Ballyboden St Enda's clubman illustrated his importance to the Dublin cause against the Kingdom.
10. Donie Smith (Roscommon)
The primrose and blues punished 14-man Clare at Cusack Park and Smith was their top scorer with 0-9 (seven from play).
11. Ciaran Kilkenny (Dublin)
The orchestrator of the Dublin attack, the Castleknock clubman helped himself to 1-3 against Eamonn Fitzmaurice's charges.
12. Niall Sludden (Tyrone)
The Red Hands came out on top in their all-Ulster clash with Donegal and Sludden was, once again, in top form for Mickey Harte's side.
13. Sean Armstrong (Galway)
Introduced as a 9th minute substitute for the injured Patrick Sweeney, Armstrong's experience was a key ingredient in Galway's winning formula.
14. Colm O'Neill (Cork)
With strong support from John O'Rourke and Mark Collins, O'Neill was at his clinical best when hitting 1-6 (0-2 fs) against Meath.
15. Andy Moran (Mayo)
The Footballer of the Year's intelligent movement caused all sorts of problems for the Kildare defence and he contributed 0-3 to his team's winning tally.
