Replying To Ulsterman:  "Donegal are dreadful so far, giving the ball away every time. On the evidence so far the Dubs could win this by 10+."

Replying To Sindar:  "If Galway heads are right and they have any pride they'll take Donegal by 5/6 points. Donegal are still living off the JMcG era and will slip out of the top 8 within 2 years"
Cant see donegal sliiping out of the top 8 any time soon because of the mix of all ireland winners and new players coming through. They are still ahead of Monaghan, kildare, galway and Roscommon in 5th place

Not a great player IMO, Tyrone really made him look like a very average player in the great all ireland finals

Donegal have really made the pundits and general football majority look stupid yet again. Most predicted them to go down but if anything they look better than they have since 2014. Real good young players mixed with plenty of all Ireland winners still there and they still have players to come back into the fray. There defense into attack play looks excellent again and Donegal look like they will be staying at the top table this time. Tyrone going very well also and i will be hoping they can build on last season with some excellent players coming through its just the absence of a class forward stopping us. i think Monaghan will do everything they can to stop Donegal and Tyrone playing football later in the year and try to drag them down to their level. They have looked good so far and will also be very hard to beat but only if McManus stays fit. They are a dogged outfit. Very interesting Ulster championship ahead, Down, Derry and Fermanagh will look for a good run through the qualifiers but i suspect Armagh, Cavan and Antrim will be an early exit

Replying To Toothless:  "Kevin McLoughlin's omission is an eye raiser. Much Much Much better player than "wee" Ryan McHugh"
What a ridiculous comment. Anyone who watched any Ulster or Donegal games this year league or championship would know Ryan McHugh is in the top 5 players in the country easily. Fully deserved an all star

Division 1 2017 - 2 Like(s)
In terms of the Ulster teams its great to have 4 in division 1. Tyrone will take some beating this year and look like All Ireland winners in the making they have all the right match ups to dominate for 2/3 years provided they dont pick up any more injuries. Will be expecting them to go flat out in the league to lay down an early marker. Will be in a final with Dublin/ Kerry Donegal will still be there or thereabouts, they wont go away as they prob have as many good younger players coming through as any county does. Mixed with plenty experience still there. They must be laughing in Donegal at the suggestions they are on a downward spiral considering Murphy / McBrearty / McGlynn / Mcgee / Mchugh / Lacey would get on to any team in Ireland. Teams like Monaghan / Cavan /Roscommon will never have players of this caliber. Still a 2 way tie between them and Tyrone for Ulster IMO. They wont be to worried about the league should survive with 4 home games. They also have a Tyrone man training them this year which will bring new life into them. Cavan have good players and should improve again this year with the new manager. Dont think they are in above two teams league but still might survive and may shock Dublin in the first game. Monaghan unfortunately are a one man team and have had their days in the sun. Might get to an Ulster final later in the year as they are on the easier side of the draw but cant see them staying in division 1.

Replying To Damothedub:  "Tell me does it hurt as much as they say falling out of the stupid tree and hitting your head on every branch , or being dumb numbs the pain ???"
Dublin have proved to be a tired team given their resources available its fair to say they should be dominitaing week in and week out. Tyrone outplayed them in league and only for poor REF would have won. lookout for Dublin to come back in a few years

1. Tyrone - Always hard to beat in league and think are team to beat this year in general 2. Dublin - expect many to be rested and more than likely they wont be going flat out 3. Kerry - Always there or therabouts 4. Donegal - All this talk of retirments and going downhill is nonsense they still have plenty expeience and wont have gone away mark my words 5. Mayo - Wont be too bothered about league other than surviving 6. Cavan - Barely might avoid relagtion 7. Roscommon - Extremely poor side as proved in last years championship. Don't expect much of them this year 8. Monaghan - One man team springs to mind and dont have much coming through

Are Donegal a real live contender in 2017 - 2 Like(s)
Yes they are still contenders In Murphy and McBrearty they still have the best inside forward line in the game Ryan McHugh is in the top 3 players in the game Neil Gallagher is back this year also and young O'Connor who played in the 2014 all ireland final, They may not push Ulster as much this year but will still be there later in the summer and none of Dublin, Kerry Tyrone will want to play them if they gather momentum this year

2017- Challengers to the 'Big 5' - 1 Like(s)

Replying To ROS1:  "Your post makes even less sense than your last one. How are tryone going to be so much better in attack next year? How are dongal going to be better despite losing some of there best players. Mayo were very unlucky not to win an all Ireland the are not going to fall off. Monaghan are not a one man team the have won as much as tryone in the last few years. Roscommon had a better year then either cavan/Meath and have better players then both."
roscommon would not have better players than Cavan. Would be really concerned this year in division 1 about Roscommon they are on course to ship some MASSIVE defeats. Think Joe Brolly was right about them even though i dont agree with him much. Also Roscommons treatment of Fergal O Donnell was appaling

Donegal Dublin Kerry Galway Tyrone look best placed at the moment to take the all Ireland. Usual suspects won't be far away but just feel Tyrone current crop won't be beaten for a while.

Can still see Donegal making the semi finals now that they will be on the same side of the draw as Kerry and Galway / Roscommon in the QF. Kerry, Donegal, Dublin and Tyrone as the last 4

Replying To fatkeeper:  "Good chance I think. Donegal crippled with injuries. Sligo beat them in their final challenge game"
They also hammered Dublin by 15 points in a challenge game. Sure they put some minor players out in the Sligo game ? Donegal are very strong in this bracket and it will take a mighty effort for us to overcome them
