King quits Laois panel

Ross King Laois

Former Laois senior hurling captain Ross King has informed manager Eddie Brennan that he will be stepping away from the panel.

It comes as a huge blow to new supremo Brennan as King captained the O’Moore men in both 2017 and 2018 and had also been the team’s top scorer over the past couple of seasons.

The Rathdowney/Errill sharpshooter required surgery following his club’s county final defeat to Camross in October at O’Moore Park, where he suffered a nasty facial injury in the late stages of the first-half with his manager John Delaney branding the incident that took place an “absolute disgrace”.
